Prospective Member FAQs:

1. How many meetings can a visitor attend?
A prospective member may attend 2 meetings as a visitor
(unless otherwise arranged by the Membership Committee/Leadership Team).

2. Once I become a member, are there any trainings I need to attend?
New members must attend a required Member Success Program Presentation within 60 days of acceptance.

3. What if your chapter already has a member that is the same or very similar to my profession?
We are only allowed to invite one member from each profession into the chapter.  As we grow, you may see some visitors who wish they could be members, but whose category is already filled.

4. What will be expected of me if I become a member?
BNI has a Code of Ethics which you will be expected to abide by.

BNI's Code of Ethics:

1. I will provide the quality of services at the prices I have quoted.

2. I will be truthful with the members and their referrals.

3. I will build goodwill and trust among members and their referrals.

4. I will take responsibility for the following up on the referrals I receive.

5. I will display a positive and supportive attitude.

6. I will live up to the ethical standards of my profession.

Professional standards outlined in a formal code of conduct for any profession supersede the above standard.

5. Is there a standard Non-Discrimination Statement?
Non-Discrimination Disclosure Statement:  BNI Headquarters require that chapters review and select persons for membership in all job classifications based on qualifications without regard to race, color, gender, religion, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, age, or disability.  BNI will support no chapter's action when in violation of this non-discrimination statement.
